Vancouver's Draft Plan Enhances Downtown Mobility Access
Staff Report / Vancouverlocal.org
Vancouver City Government has released a draft plan aimed at improving access and mobility in downtown Vancouver. The plan is designed to create walkable neighborhoods that remain accessible as the population increases.
The draft action plan has several key focuses, including:
- Enhancing the ease of walking, biking, and using public transit in the downtown area.
- Prioritizing environmentally friendly travel options to lessen the community's dependency on cars.
- Managing parking demand more effectively to support local businesses, hospitality workers, residents, and visitors.
Community input has played a significant role in shaping this draft plan. Residents and other stakeholders are encouraged to read the draft and provide feedback by December 17.
