Vancouver Police Services Levy Aims to Increase Staffing
Staff Report / Vancouverlocal.org
Proposition 4 is on the ballot for the November 5 General Election in Vancouver, Washington. This measure aims to address the growing demands on police services in the community. Since 2018, there has been a 30% increase in call volume for police services and an 87% rise in reported crimes. If approved, Proposition 4 would allow for the addition of up to 80 sworn officer positions and 36 non-sworn staff to enhance police and public safety services in the area.
